Lately I’ve been feeling super fall inspired! I’ve been decorating my room, burning autumn candles, and drinking pumpkin chai from Starbucks. My mind is definitely in fall mode, the only problem… It’s still over 90 degrees every day. To help with this, I’ve put together a few outfits that have hints of fall in them, without being overly warm.
The first outfit is the easiest. A plaid button up is the perfect transition piece. If it gets too warm, you can tie it around your waist for just a pop of fall. I picked this one up from my work the other day, and I absolutely love the colors in it.

Since it may be too hot for normal sweaters, something with a more open knit is ideal. I added a cropped tank underneath and it’s just super airy. I also took one of my choice scarves to wear when it’s cold out (that I may or may not have stolen from my mom) and tied it around my head. It adds the perfect pop of color and is a great way to multipurpose a scarf.
The socks here are totally optional, and the outfit would look great with just the sandals or even a pair of boots.

This outfit is definitely a bit more dressy, but a lot easier to wear when it’s warm out. Patterns are super in this fall so the skirt was a perfect start for the outfit. I wanted to offset its tighter fit by adding a bulkier top, and the burnt orange color is a nice little nod to fall.

Another way to add a hint of fall to your look is with makeup. This look has been my go-to lately, especially the eye shadows. I used a NYX single shadow in ‘lol’ on the lid, and a Maybelline single shadow in ‘constant toast’ in the crease and outer corner. I pulled the look together with my favorite lip product of all time, the NYX lipliner pencil in ‘Mahogany.’ This liner looks good by itself, or under literally everything.
Thanks so much for reading and happy fall!
Until next time,
