I cannot believe that this year is coming to an end! It really seems like we were just ringing in 2018, yet, looking back at the rest of the year, some events seem so long ago! It’s so funny how time works. Just like every year, 2018 definitely had its up and downs and there are some things that I’m excited to leave behind. I’m really looking forward to the new year and all of the things I’m hoping it’ll bring!
Some 2018 Highlights:
•In May, Ben and I celebrated our one year anniversary/his birthday/him getting his teaching credential by taking a trip to Ashland, Oregon! It was SO relaxing and beautiful and was easily our favorite part of 2018.
•For Christmas my brother had bought me tickets for him and I to see the one and only Harry Styles. The concert was in July and it was amazing. There’s no shame here, I absolutely love Harry Styles!
•In October, for Halloween, I got to work with The Blog Bloc and Goodwill to create my first sponsored content for Instagram! I was so excited about this opportunity and I hope to do more sponsored work in the new year!
•In October I also landed what might just be my dream job. I work for some really great people at a photography studio doing office work and social media! Without a doubt, it’s the best job I’ve ever had and I’m so thankful for it ever single day. I only work three full weekdays too which means I get to be home on evenings and weekends! I’ve loved getting to cook dinners again (after working a crazy retail schedule) and having Saturday date nights.
•Mostly, at the end of the year, I can say I’m doing way better than I was a year ago. I was struggling with some pretty bad depression and anxiety and although it’s still a constant in my life, I feel like I have a much better handle on it right now. I’m looking forward to continuing to tackle this in the new year and I’m excited to see where I am in a year from now!
Some Things Coming Up Soon in 2019:
•February is going to be a big month! I’m turning 25 and for my birthday, we’re going to be at Disneyland! With all the times I’ve been to Disney, I’ve never been in the park on my actual birthday so to say I’m excited is an understatement!
•Around the end of January/beginning of February we’re planning to start looking at houses with the goal of buying a house by the end of the year! We can’t wait to have our own place and to give up apartment living for good. Some things on our wish list include: a laundry room and a huge kitchen!
•In May, we’re celebrating our 2 year anniversary! It does not feel like it’s been that long since we got married, at all. But I’m looking forward to more and more years with my favorite guy!
All in all, I’m super excited for the new year! I’d love to hear what you’re most looking forward to in 2019 or what your favorite part about 2018 was. Or both! Let me know in the comments below or on my latest Instagram post!
Until next time,
